There is a range of ownership opportunities at the yard, from full ownership to flexible syndicate shares, allowing enthusiasts of all budgets to experience the excitement of racehorse ownership.
The various syndicates provide a low-cost, lower-risk route into the sport while preserving the camaraderie and involvement of being part of a team — owners receive regular updates, are invited to visit the yard, and can attend race days to cheer their horse on.
We work with syndicates to allow transparent management at our dual-purpose facility in the Scottish Borders.

“On race days, partners of Making Headway Racing will be entitled to owner’s badges to experience the thrill of seeing their horse run, speaking to the jockey and the trainer before and after each race and hopefully experience that winning feeling. For owners that are not able to attend on the day we will record a post-race briefing with either jockey or trainer so you won’t miss out on the news from the day.”
