Our Team

Abby Robertson

Abby is our head girl and she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that she has picked up over the years. She gained experience riding ponies and on the point to point field and is a very established work rider. Abby takes great pride in seeing her horses well turned out and performing to the best of their ability on raceday.

 

Charlie Bell

Charlie joined our little team at the end of the summer 2024 having previously worked with horses locally under the tutelage of Katie Jo Nixon. Charlie quickly became an integral part of our riding team at the yard and is also great at turning the horses out to a high standard on raceday. Charlie has quickly became a huge asset to our yard.

Chloe Blaikie

Chloe spent her work experience with us while she was studying at The Scottish Racing Academy, we are very lucky that she decided to stay at the yard as part of our yard based team. Chloe is a very sociable person and is a pleasure to work with and it has been amazing to see her grow both in confidence and knowledge in her time with us. She is now our heard yard based girl and is an integral part of our wee team.

Harvey Ashe

Harvey has grown up around horses as part of the family family business and has also spent some time in his childhood show jumping. He joined our riding team Christmas 2025 when he turned 16 and has flourished in the role. He led up his first winner at Catterick with Naana’s Shadow.

Daisy Buckley

Daisy works at the yard on a part time basis alongside studying Equine Science at College. Daisy has competed to a high level through the Pony Club and in to British Eventing and quickly transferred her riding skills over to racehorses. She has quickly became indispensable to the yard.

Steph Thewlis

Having previously worked full time in racing Steph now works out of the sport but we are lucky she joins us to ride out when her shifts allow. She is a very experienced work rider and it is great to have her expertise when she is in.

Niamh McLeoud

Niamh works part time at the yard alongside studying at The Scottish Racing Academy and also pulling some shifts at Floors Stud in Kelso. She is a great help on the yard and is particularly good at turning out the horses at the races
