Rover Wins at Musselburgh
After several placings at the track it was great to see Curious Rover put his head in front at Musselburgh. He jumped well and always looked to be travelling comfortably in the hands of William Pyle on his way to score by half a length. It was his first win on Scottish soil and plenty of his owners were in attendance to cheer him home.
Curious Rover and William over the Winning Line
Rover is often a victim of his own consistency, he rarely runs a bad race and never puts two bad runs in together, because of this he rarely gets much relief from the handicapper. He defied his latest rise and this was the highest mark he has won off. His versatility ground wise should set us up for a few more good days out with him before the season is out.

The night at Musselburgh could have been extra special if Concert Boy had got a clear run up the home straight but he had to wait a second for a gap open and only went down by half a length. Hopefully he can go in soon for his owners.
Another horse in the yard that rarely gets much relief from the handicapper is the ultra consistent Sacred Falls. She always runs thereabouts but I was disappointed that she was not given a pound or two back from her last run where she finished down the field at Hamilton. She will likely head back there next week and with a little rub of the green I am sure she can get her head back in front soon.
Sacred Falls winning earlier in the season
This week looks steady at the start with a busier end with entries in at Musselburgh, Thirsk, Ayr and Haydock keeping us busy over the weekend!
